Advice re staff training

Hi all, my school has whole staff training booked in for the end of next month. Almost 30 staff inside our not overly large school hall. Does anyone know what the rules are about this?

The room should be ventilated and chairs 2m apart. My school is doing this too for whole staff meetings with 30 staff in one room. The thing that concerns me the most is the lack of masks in meetings as at my school it’s seen as the norm and masks are talked about as an inconvenience. In these meetings I’d sit near the door and wear a mask.

I completely agree with you Cookiecrisps grab a window seat and wear a face covering. Check your school Risk Assessment it should have a section about expectations when gathering for meetings.

Is is possible to request a virtual link to attend the meeting? Might be worth checking.

Thanks both. It’s a first aid refresher which I’m sure could be done online as there’s no way we can be expected to use recuss Annie or put anyone in the recovery position. We can’t share staff rooms at the moment so I don’t feel comfortable being in the hall all together. If it goes ahead, I shall position myself next to an open window with my mask firmly in place!
