Not getting shortlisted

Hi All,

Is there anyone on here that deals with employing teachers (heads, deputy, teacher recruitment) that would be willing to look over my supporting statement. I have applied for a few job and not been shortlisted. I have rewritten my statement to make it more individualised towards the school but am doubting myself.

Hi, I’m a secondary head of department, so involved in the process of shortlisting, but maybe not quite who you were hoping for. In the absence of other offers though, I could definitely have a look for you.

Good luck!! Application numbers are high at the moment, we had over 20 applicants for a post last month. You are probably doing everything right, but just coming up against an unusually high number of candidates. We had lots that would normally have been shortlisted that we just couldn’t see this year, but there was nothing wrong with their application.
