Has anyone left teaching here before? What did you end up doing after you left?

There is a Facebook group about Life after teaching. Most of the people on there work for DWP, civil service, policy writing at local councils or tutoring. Other does supply work. Some have even set up their own businesses in new careers away from education.

I am just going through the same thing. Have been doing a two years MSc in Building Surveying on the side!!

Just about to cross the threshold as this finishes in a few weeks time. I just need a few kind people to help me with my dissertation questionnaire. (Sorry for shameless plug - it's just surprisingly difficult to get people to fill in questionnaires!)

It is 10 quick-fire questions based around - Victorian or Modern property - what is the nation's favourite? Any help much appreciated and sorry to ask! Link is here -

Has anybody else considered Building Surveying. Looking at the wage structures, it seems like one has to take a temporary drop in wage, but things should balance out quite quickly in the short-medium term. Thanks again for any help I may get with this post.
