Lateral flow tests - does the school get an email

We're doing the home lateral flow covid tests twice a week for our primary school children, not compulsory but we have been asked in the newsletter

I've done the nhs form to confirm they are negative and got my email and text conformation

Just wondered if primary schools get an email to say the children have tested negative?

Obviously it's just done at home and I scan the qr code on the test but there's no photo upload to prove the result

It asked for their school name and then I wondered will the office know we've filled it the forms and done the tests or is that just to alert them if it's positive?

Kids both seem happy to do the tests which I'm pleased about

I’m confused! I thought the lateral flow tests were for primary school staff and parents of primary school children? I’ve not read anywhere that we should be asking family’s to test primary school children?

In our secondary school, students should load their result via a link that gets registered with the school as well as the NHS link.

I'm pretty sure the NHS doesn't pass on individual test results to the school.

No the school does not get an email. I’m surprised the school has asked you to test your children. The guidance says they shouldn’t be used for primary school pupils. Parents of primary school pupils yes but not the pupils themselves.

Our staff still have to tell me their results and we aren’t asking children to do lateral flow tests at all.

You shouldn’t be testing primary aged children. The tests are for the parents/families of primary aged children.
