PHSE

Hi, looking for some guidance if possible.

First of all is PHSE known as something else and is their nc guidance for subject delivery.

I am preparing resources for teachers and students about our culture, faith, language etc.
This is to coincide with the £400,000 to engage Romany Gypsy travellers.
Hopefully, the teacher can use these resources to educate the class and bridge the gap between Romany and non Romany students.
I believe it will be a huge improvement to the outcomes of children from this race.
I am a qualified teacher able to follow the curriculum but failing to find information on PHSE or any other title of the same type of subject.

If anyone can help. Thank you, and here is a link www.youtube.com/channel/UCzk20sJQ2gq_XB9oCgOWrQ

Pshe is also known as life skills in our school.

And maybe check you're looking for the right acronym - it's PSHE, not PH

Hi. What exactly have you been asked to do? What age group? How many lessons?

Subordinateclause · 16/02/2021 20:33

There is often a county-wide programme that schools follow, such as the Nottingham Healthy Schools ladder. Some schools also continue to use the old SEAL units.

Try the PSHE association, they have schemes, lesson plans etc.
PSHE is a non statutory subject, that means there isn't a National Framework so each school can teach pretty much what they want and how they want.

ValancyRedfern · 17/02/2021 09:51

Some schools combine pshe with RE and citizenship. The only statutory guidance is (I think) for the RSE aspects of pshe.

Thank you for the responses.
It's just something I have decided to do for myself, not to make any money but to offer it free to schools and organisations or for a small cost on tes.

Thank you for the link and information, I wondered why I couldn't find a curriculum.
I'm thinking of providing for all key stages as it's never too young to learn acceptance of other races. Obviously, it will be age appropriate at the right level for each KS.

Thanks again, I'm starting with KS4 as I have one of these Grin and working backwards to KS1.

Thank you for the clarification. There's a PSHE, RE and Citizenship group on facebook which you might fund useful.
