Teacher trolley / bag

As well as my bag with my purse, pens, A4 planner and coffee, i also take a bag with my laptop, pgce folder, files, notebooks lunch, etc. It's getting very heavy already and can only imagine what it may be like in future to lug a set of books home to mark (Primary).

Am I not travelling light enough? What do you take to school on a daily basis? Do you use bags or a shopping trolley type thing? What is best?

I carry:

Laptop
Planner
A4 notebook
A ring binder with all my planning stuff in it.
A hard drive

I never, ever bring a set of books home to mark. If I need to mark in my own time at home, they work on paper.

I have a rucksack from Decathlon: www.decathlon.co.uk/p/country-walking-backpack-nh500-30-litres/_/R-p-156341

Stands up, has laptop pocket, handbag, lunch and water bottle fit in too. Best bag ever.

Oh, I only unpack my planner/markbook at school, because I have a desktop. I move around a fair bit, so need to be able to just pick it up and run.

In the early days of teaching I used to lug around all kinds of things in something like this www.antler.co.uk/products/stirling-wheeled-laptop-bag-black
More recently I have downgraded to a rucksack and only carry around the bare minimum (planner, pencil case, water). We have fixed PCs in classrooms so I leave my laptop at home.
If I ever have to take books home I use a shopping bag.

I have a miatui Jen bag, can't praise it more as I've used it constantly for 3 years and still looks like new. I carry my laptop, diary and all my other life shit in it. If I take books home to mark, I use a big supermarket shopping bag to carry them.

I don't bring my laptop home because I have a school one and a personal one.
Planner lives at school too - but ours are loose leaf so I can bring the pages I need.
Booths bags fit a set of a4 exercise books and my pencil case.
Handbag has phone and lunch and two flasks of tea.
I used to have a granny trolley but then my classroom move upstairs.

Normal handbag, laptop in sleeve, large jute bag for books. Never bring home planning folder as plans are on Google Docs so can access there. Usually (in normal times) about half a class set of books that I didn't quite get to finish marking at school - and I try VERY hard to get as much marking as humanly possible done at lunch and after school.

Oh, and lunch and water bottle.

Normally I just bring a really small bag with phone and lunchbox. Everything else stays in school. Now I have to take my laptop back and forth to work at home (/in random empty rooms in school), so I also stick a notebook, my work iPad and any other random stuff I might need in my laptop bag.

I try not to bring books home. If I do, I use a bag for life. Heavy, but fits a set of books in easily.
