Tips for remote learning

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any tips for remote teaching and learning please? We are using google classrooms as our main platform.

What equipment is worth having? Software? Any tips for recording videos in particular? Want to make sure the learning we are providing is good quality but also engaging for EYFS and KS1. Thank you

I teacher older students, but a visualiser has really helped my online learning - useful for modelling.

Visualiser is great.
Don't try and teach the full hour - teach for a portion of the lesson, then set an independent task - writing/practice what they've learned - do the remainder of the time.
It's best if the kids are all on mute and unmute themselves when you ask for their input. There's a "hands up" fEature and a chat thread on Teams where they can check things with you.
