Contact tracing

Hello,

I saw mention on another thread about staff potentially being contacted and told to isolate on the 23rd, how does this work?? We broke up yesterday, no children had developed symptoms. So surely this means that if I haven't heard anything by Sunday then I'm not going to? Since it's only if you've been in contact with the person 48 hours before they developed symptoms?

They could have got ill on Sunday, been tested on Monday, got results on Wednesday and then contacts traced on Thursday for 48 hours before symptoms started which takes us back to school on Friday.
