Christmas - glue

Threads on teacher christmas/ end of year gifts usually have a smattering of posters suggesting gifting school resources, such as glue.
Do teachers really want a load of glue? If so, squeezy type, or stick type? Is brand important?
(Just seen a load of elmers really cheap in Home Bargains, and bought some for home but wondering if I should buy a load for dd's class - she's year 1).
Thanks!

In my school, glue isn't a problem so glue sticks wouldn't be a treat as I just go get some from the cupboard. And we are a very poor school!

I'd love glue Xmas Smile

Whiteboard pens are as likely to be available as one of Santa's elves in my school - have already bought one box myself and would love it if someone bought more for the class

In all honesty I really wouldn't like school supplies as a gift. I'd rather have nothing than that. I never expect a gift and am always delighted with any I do receive, but this idea of giving teachers glue sticks as a way of saying thank you, here's a small treat, is just crazy! It's like being given washing up liquid as a birthday present! Maybe spend your time on a heart felt message instead which the teacher can keep (and I always do)

Oh you misinterpret my meaning. I saw a decent brand of glue really cheap, and wondered if dd's teacher might be likely to appreciate it for the class. Didn't want to ask her directly incase the consensus was that it would be weird!
It isn't a teacher gift at all (I just mentioned the teacher gift threads, as that's where I've heard it suggested that teachers want/ need this type of resource, but I'm not sure if that really is a widespread thing).

Sorry, totally misunderstood your intention!
