Can parents request to see risk assessments?

I'm a teacher and parent. There was an incident at my ds school and he was hit a number of times by a child who has a track record for this (no special needs) I'm meeting head teacher tomorrow. I've requested to see risk assessments of the areas it occurred but they are very reluctant to share!
Also I'm asked about staffing/ how they will Prevent in future/ how incident was dealt (or not dealt with!) Anything else to ask about?

What do you mean risk assessments for where it occurred? If your child was hit in the playground, why would there be a risk assessment for the playground? All you can ask about is what happened and what they are going to do to prevent it from happening again. The school will impose a consequence in line with their policy. I am not sure what else you expect them to do? The school cannot just exclude the child concerned permanently without having gone through all their procedures.
