When does a bubble close?

I had a covid test yesterday and I'm still waiting for results. Obviously hoping they come back negative and I can go to school as usual tomorrow.
If they did come back positive tomorrow- would children finish the day and shut the bubble from Tuesday? Or would they be sent home when I receive the result?
Just pondering...

We've had several positives (staff and students) and no whole bubbles have been sent home. My friend in another school had 3 cases and they closed the whole school. It seems to be so random there is no predicting it.

I got a positive test and my class were phoned to stay at home, or sent home on arrival at school. Assistants in my bubble stayed home too. Same happened when my son's bubble burst. Message from school to stay home while advice sought.

I’m in Year 2 if I, a child or my TA gets a positive test we’ll all go home. We’re in very strict bubbles here which I’ve barely met all the staff. The kids don’t have contact with any other class
