Harris Academy Tottenham Hale

Hi everyone, I was thinking of applying for a job at Harris Academy in Tottenham Hale (maths teacher post). I have read all sorts of bad things, and it just seems that people hate it, mainly up to last year, January 2019, but not much more since then.
Anyway would have any more recent advice?
Thanks a lot.

My advice is: don’t. I have had a couple of friends who’ve worked for Harris Academies over the year and they are slave drivers. We’re talking micro-management of performance, most staff getting into school at 7am and leaving at 8/9pm every day. If you value your health and sanity don’t work for that chain.

I've only ever hear bad things about working for Harris. Sadly where I live they now run practically every other school!

My experience is dealing with their SLT rejects when they burn out of London. Not impressed. They seem a bit traumatised by it all with a bit of a chip on their shoulders.

Never worked in one myself but I have heard nothing but bad things about Harris academies.

I would avoid if I were you. As a maths teacher, you should be able to apply for jobs elsewhere.

I currently work as a TA at one and must say I am not enjoying it at all.
Did you apply OP? X

Sorry without outing myself I work quite near it and all I will say is, if you don't apply this time around, just check back in 6 months. The amount of vacancies should be alarming in the current job market.
