Wow, what a long, strange three week and so glad to have made it to the exeat weekend. Feel like I could spend the whole of tomorrow sleeping!

100% agree. By exert I take it you are in private. Think the reaction from many schools has been to flog the staff, this has been by a mile the hardest Sept I can remember... lots of exams, marking, reports...ludicrous.

Yup private boarding school so 6 days a week and work at school until 5 three days a week. At least I don’t have to do boarding duty as I think that would break me! But lots of advantages in other ways, it is always a trade off.

We had a pay cut last term and now our TPS is being removed

Ouch. We have a pay freeze but still in TPS for the time being. How is your term so far?

Very hard... lots of year group exams, marking, reporting, Septembers always quite hectic as you will know but they don't usually involve exams, marking and reporting. Covid etc in the background, a fairly aggressive attitude from SMT and then the Governors tell us we are out of TPS next March...so all round tough
