72 hour marking quarantine

How are you planning to mark work this term? We have been told to do so, but that books need to be quarantined for 72 hours before being marked, and another 72 hours before being given back.
I have asked my older classes to take a photo of written work and send it to me via email. I don't think that would work with younger ones though.
I'm not sure where I would store the books, or why we are doing it really. Any thoughts?

We've been told this. We've also been told that the preferred option is students upload to teams and feedback is given on there.

Personally I'll be ignoring the quarantine. It's a stupid rule when they're all breathing on you.

We have this rule too, but 2 year groups have already had exams which need marking quickly, so we’ve abandoned it already.

We have this too but have been encouraged to mark most work on Teams.

We’ve been told we can quarantine work or mark it in school with handwashing before and after if we are comfortable with that.
If we take it home, we need to quarantine it before giving it back.

I'm primary and we haven't been told this at all, it's business as usual with books and marking.

Primary and it's business as usual here too, marking as children work and marking at the end of a lesson.

We’ve been told to quarantine books and do most of our marking through Teams. The other day I got a senior class to send me a paragraph through Teams in class and I’d given them all feedback before the end of the period - I actually like it better than when I was able to wander amongst them and mark.

We have a 48 hour policy, which also means 48 hours on the way back - near-as-damn-it a week.

I am not planning on marking paper at all. My homeworks and tests will be on Google Classroom or Pearson Active Learn.

We have a big plastic quarantine which work has to be put in supposedly for 72 hours but if there's work in there already and I put more in that "infects" the work that's already in there.

Most of us are just taking stuff in at the end of the day and marking it as usual.
