Sorry for posting here, I will post on staff room too but I think more people look on here!

I’m changing career and starting my brand new job of ICT teacher. I’m coming from an administration background so I have knowledge of most IT related programs. I just need some advice on which are the best resources to use in this field. Can anyone point me in right direction please

Oops forgot to take out the first sentence! Doesn’t make sense now that I’ve posted on correct board!

What key stage are you teaching?
Are you training to be a teacher?

I’m familiar with the theory. It’s just ideas for fun starters and plenaries I’m looking for

But surely your starter will be different for year 1 to GCSE. That's why I asked what key stage.

Familiar with the theory? So no actual teaching experience?

I think everyone is a little confused as to your status! Are you a newly qualified teacher, in which case what did you pick up in your placements that would be useful, what has your college suggested? Or are you a Teach First/SCITT trainee? What age group will you be teaching, we can then offer some ideas!

There are lots of free and paid resources on tes. There will also be relevant Facebook groups where teachers share resources.
Ideally your department will have a shared area for resources somewhere.

Rosenshine is very en vogue and retrieval starters are the flavour of the day.

I haven’t done plenaries since my training Wink
