Principal Teacher Interview

Hi everyone. So I’ve finally taken the leap and applied for a principal teacher role (I’m in Scotland). There is going to be a lot of competition so I really want to put everything I have into preparing for the interview. Has anyone here ever been interviewed for a principal teacher post and can remember the types of questions they were asked and what they feel helped them stand out? Thanks in advance!

I've tried to block the last horrendous PT interview for my memory, but pretty sure how you will ensure GIRFEC as part of the role was a key question! The usual what key qualities and experience can you bring to the role, how would you approach an under performing member of staff and how would ensure you get the most from faculty members. It depends if it's a faculty PT role or otherwise obviously. Scour the School Improvement Plan/HIGIOS paperwork as well.
