I work in a primary and have an inset day with staff from other schools before term starts ...

I thought conferences weren't happening till 1st October so is this even allowed? It seems silly to get a load of adults in 1 room before term :-|

No mention of masks/ ventilation. Is it a case of it doesn't matter as we'll be exposed anyway? In which case why should any families bother taking precautions or wearing masks in shops??!!!

Yep, we will be 'socially distanced' in the hall. Why we can't do it over teams I have no idea.

The school is in an area where numbers are already going up. I'm sure it will be fine but I don't know why they would add unnecessary risk?

Yes same here not sure why it cant be done remorely...

Our INSET is going to be on a rota basis in the hall with people staying in faculty groups.
