Pay 20-21

When will the pay scale ne released for this September?

Will there be a rise given the pandemic? Will the NQT progress towards 30k change?

Wonder if any of us will pass the objectives. I know the unions recommend going up the pay scale. Will the 2-3 percent be added?

It's all gone very quiet.

I was wondering the same!

I reckon we are in for a few years of 1% pay increases. Similar to the Austerity period. Teacher pay has been seriously eroded over the past decade or so.

Danglingmod · 15/07/2020 08:23

We are getting automatic progression in our MAT.

Can never remember when the % increase recommendation is published?

Would the gov have to change the policy in order to do this? Because if so, they won't. They're on recess and nothing is ever achieved over the summer.
I bet most of us have gone over and above our annual targets since lockdown anyway.

Hopefully it is okay for this September.

Obviously school budgets are being squeezed with CV adaptations and school bursars are still going on about pension costs.

We've had several years of 0% payrise in the past in succession and I'm expecting the same soon.
