Alternative teacher training? Or other ideas on working with kids?

I left classroom teaching (ks2) 10 years ago to start a family. Now I want to go back to working with kids and doing a bit more training. I don’t want to work in a mainstream school - but do something a bit different.

My DCs went to a Montessori nursery, so I’m interested in that. I also know a little bit about forest school. And I’m curious about any other alternative approaches?

Or other creative ways to work with (ks1/ early years) kids, without going into a mainstream classroom?

There have been some other threads asking about Montessori training but as far as I've seen nobody who has actually done the diploma has been along to answer. It's very interesting but quite pricey. I believe some Montessori nurseries/schools offer in house training (like a School Direct for Montessori).

Forest school is very in vogue, we have it at our school and one member of staff is pursuing a qualification in it, although I don't know any details, sorry!
