Hi all, I’m contemplating requesting to go part time after my mat leave ends. I am on m6- has anyone done this and mind me asking what their take home pay is? I’ve done online calculators but would like a real life idea!

I’m 0.6 on M6. Since I started my pay has gone up and down due to tax code problems. It recently settled at £1256 pcm take home. I have a feeling it will go up again but you could use this an indicator of a minimum.
Not enough is the real answer Grin

I’m in TPS and also pay about £14 a month student loan repayment.

If you look up Tafkam pay calculator, it will allow you to calculate accurately. He is a poster on the TES forum who has created a superb spreadsheet!

Also, don't forget there is an extra pay weighting for inner London and outer London OP. Wherabouts do you teach?

I teach in Lincolnshire so way away from London!

I did 0.6 on M6 in the school year starting September 17. I used to get about 21k a year so I would imagine it would be a little more than that.
