Cleaning staff

Ok so I am not a teacher but still a member of school staff so hope it is ok to post.
I am getting so nervous about the plans to return, we are going to do a deep clean in the next two weeks, all fine. BUT when the school goes back (they are planning for 1st of June) I will be expected to enter every classroom (at least 7 different bubbles) knowing that covid can linger in the air and remain on hard surfaces. Not only am I worried for myself and my family, but also for the pupils and staff of the rooms I am responsible for cleaning! What If I miss something in the 15 minutes or so I am allowed to spend on each room? what If I transfer Covid from one room to another somehow?
I feel so out of my depth, am I being over dramatic?

No you're not. It's one of the things headteachers are discussing and worrying about as they are trying to make plans and adjust to the guidance. I don't suppose that's much comfort, but you should know that the safety of ALL school staff is being considered. That doesn't mean that there's a straightforward answer at the moment, though.

You are well within your rights to be concerned and should feel confident to speak to the site manager or the headteacher about them, knowing that you'll be taken seriously.

Thanks for reassuring me that i am not over reacting! I guess I wait to see what directives we are given and hopefully some extra PPE!

My Aunt left her job cleaning in a nursing home. Care workers were assigned certain residents to look after and could only enter their rooms in order to minimise spread.
My Aunt had all 60 rooms to clean moving between floors and between covid positive rooms and the rooms of the residents who had tested negative. She also cleaned the staffroom/bathroom and office.
You are not being over dramatic.
Workplaces need to provide a plan.

I know nursing home isn't the same as a school nut just wanted to share for comparison.

This is my worry, re the spread from room to room and the increased exposure in entering several different bubbles! in all this mess of getting schools back too soon, the minimum wage, minimally trained cleaners are being thrown to the wolves!
