How to thank teachers looking after Key Worker children

Hello teachers,

We are both key workers so our primary-school aged children have continued on at school, receiving nothing but outstanding care. We are very, very grateful and would like to send something in to show our appreciation.
If you are a teacher, what would you like to receive? Personal card, fancy sweets, fruit basket? We’ve done the first two before Easter but running out of ideas.
TIA

Just letting the teachers know how much you appreciate them will be lovely. A lot of us feel absolutely hated right now.

a card or even better a letter that says exactly what you are grateful for would I'm sure be welcome
food/drink you can never be sure about (diets, allergies)

A very kind parent just made us a huge box of beautifully iced cup cakes. Normally they would be devoured (she does it regularly and they are great!), but only a couple were eaten this time. We are all a bit wary currently tbh. Individually wrapped chocolate rolls (the cheap ones) went down a storm though!

Actually, our HT is forwarding thank you emails to all staff. It is really lovely to receive them. Nice I feel because it recognises that it is very much a team effort just now.

Thanks for the replies. I hope our teachers don’t experience this sort of negativity! In addition to personal thanks, how about some glowing thanks and feedback to the (shielding) headteacher or governors?

Ah, just saw @Trickywords. That’s what we’ll do then. And no to the homebaking just now!

You could stick up for teachers on as many MN teacher bashing threads as you can? And thank you to you for your keyworking too xx

Social media - class whatsapp, fb, local town groups. Praise them and tell everybody. I can't think of a better gift.
