staff are private. So please be patient, no news is good news. Emma

That's good news, like Emma said. I only mentioned him being out of intensive care because the family said so on Twitter at some point.

NeurotrashWarrior · 20/04/2020 20:49

Thanks Piggy, hoping he makes a full recovery soon.

I think that is a very interesting thread and he is getting a lot of nice support (he looks about 15!). Whilst I agree he should not have to justify himself and the work, I do agree that all that (such as how they found the teachers) could have been better explained to head some sniping off at the pass : not justified, just set out , before it began.

I don't agree with him on peer review (and that he is explaining away errors by saying he trusts the setters). I really think they need to develop a system whereby teachers can very quickly flag errors. up. It is a big part of their knowledge curriculum thing to quickly eradicate errors and misconceptions! and the English one was a howler

I hope it gets wide use and proves helpful to teachers, students and parents. it definitely needs wider promotion. Too many educationalists (and politicians! and schools!) think Twitter is a way to disseminate news.

NeurotrashWarrior · 22/04/2020 13:08

That's useful, I've RT.

Piggywaspushed · 22/04/2020 19:23

Have to say, I have just found ANOTHER error of the glaring variety in the English stuff (year 9 if anyone wants to know : canon spelled as cannon...). It's not good to have grammar and spelling mistakes...

Oh dear. It's great that some of it as great. Doesn't stop me from worrying about the quality of some of the output especially given how much they tout their academic backgrounds.

No real way of reporting this is my beef.

NeurotrashWarrior · 23/04/2020 07:28

I think there's a twitter you can report to. They are responding a lot .

Piggywaspushed · 23/04/2020 07:47

There is : I reported one. It just seems long winded, and it's not an official way to report it.

I can't check if the error was corrected as the English part of the website had crashed last night .

I did look at some Latin and history and maths and they seemed far better. Sadly, those were all men so I may need to check my unconscious bias. The maths wasn't great : he had stuck a flip chart to a wall and I couldn't read his writing ! But it was amusing to look at his waistcoat and trousers combo as he wrote on it!

NeurotrashWarrior · 23/04/2020 11:31

🤣 I wonder how many kids are also being distracted!
