Would this be useful to teachers next week?

Hi,

I work for a food manufacturer and we're trying to think of ways to support the local community at the moment. We have some spare masks, sterile wipes, hand sanitiser, gloves etc.

I've not seen any info in regards to extra measures to protect teachers who'll be in next week - our local school will be open, so I'm wondering if this would be of use to them or if its already being provided?

Yes please! We haven't had any additional cleaning supplies/protection given.

I'm not a teacher but think that's a lovely idea. I can imagine they'd be really appreciative.

Wipes and sanitiser yes. Gloves and masks should probably go to hospitals?

What about shop workers?

@noblegiraffe hospital wouldn't take them as not medical grade/from approved supplier.

@poetry we don't have enough to supply all the local shops etc. We have given some in to the staff of the local independent bakery down the street.

That'd be amazing, especially sanitiser. Sure they'll be grateful, we're running low on soap etc at my school.

My DCs school has completely run out of soap etc, staff have been taking in new supplies from home.

If you can, yes please! My hands are bright red and peeling from cleaning keyboards and mice after every lesson, for a fortnight, without protective gear.

Our local police station appealed for supplies at the weekend, they were completely out and unable to sanitise the cars between people.
