As an immunosuppressed teacher I am more than a little worried! I work in a very large comprehensive school with 6th form....

We've had to divulge any underlying health conditions to HR so they can do individualised risk assessments.

Good Luck. My DH is worried about this too. It's an anxious time.

I spoke to my consultant today and they signed me off even though I asked not to. Risk is too high!
Piggywaspushed · 14/03/2020 21:24
DH's consultant was almost flippant with him , interestingly...

I’ve got a reduced lung capacity as part of my condition which is the doctors reasoning - they also said any other profession they’d tell me to give it a week but schools are far too risky Veryyyyy nervous to HRs reaction to my note.

Had an email from my head, linking to generic advice for my condition, which I'm of course is not specific to education!
He is very frustrated at the lack of info available for him...
missy111 · 16/03/2020 19:25
I have been signed off until Easter. My GP said not worth the risk..
