As an immunosuppressed teacher I am more than a little worried! I work in a very large comprehensive school with 6th form....

We've had to divulge any underlying health conditions to HR so they can do individualised risk assessments.

There guidance for school to look at everything case by case 2 at the school where my friend works been sent home one 8 months on from chemo and other auto immune problems.
Just speak up and they will deal public health england has guidance for them.

I spoke to my consultant today and they signed me off even though I asked not to. Risk is too high!

I’ve got a reduced lung capacity as part of my condition which is the doctors reasoning - they also said any other profession they’d tell me to give it a week but schools are far too risky Confused Veryyyyy nervous to HRs reaction to my note.

Had an email from my head, linking to generic advice for my condition, which I'm of course is not specific to education!
He is very frustrated at the lack of info available for him...
