Hi
Anyone in here the ELSA in their school ?
Are you a TA plus ELSA ?
Do you get paid the same rate for both roles ?
Would you mind sharing the rate ?
I'm a TA about to be the ELSA too.
Thanks

One of my colleagues is an LSA and trained as the ELSA. no extra pay. We all have additional roles on top of LSA roles such as taking on additional training to care for children with medical needs (diabetic, tube feeding etc). it just means that less time is spent in the classroom to enable the other roles to be fulfilled. It it usual for an ELSA to get additional pay (asking for a friend.... literally!!!)
