I've just applied for a job and then saw in the description on the webpage (not the person spec) that you need to have a driving licence with the category that allows you to drive a minibus. I don't have this.

Would you withdraw the application or leave it and see what happens? If you got called for interview you would you point out that you don't have this category on your licence before or would you go for the interview and mention it or not mention it?

I would see what happens and then mention it at interview.
Mention it is a way that "I don't currently have the minibus qualification as I'm not old enough for it to have been automatic, but am ready and willing to do the training / take the test as soon as possible if offered the job and obviously I......... {fill in by selling yourself as to why it would be worthwhile them employing you}"
