Paid for induction day?

Ok so I sound a bit stupid but here goes. I'm starting a teaching position (maternity) and I'm in 3 full days next week and 2 the week after- induction and sharing teaching to get to know class etc. Havent got an official start date but teacher goes on maternity the week after. Do you think I'll be paid for the next 2 weeks or just from the maternity start date?

At my school your official contract would start on the day her maternity leave starts but you’d be paid supply rates for the days you’re in before that.
