Hi,
I am considering offering some private tuition. French to GCSE standard.
I haven't taught in Secondary Ed for some years, and am out of the loop regarding, syllabus for GCSE.
Could anybody point me in the right direction regarding, syllabus, format of exams, etc?
Many thanks

Things have changed quite dramatically, all exam boards have their specifications available on their websites. I would start with familiarising myself with AQA, the biggest board, also look up which boards the schools around you are with.

Controlled assessment is a thing of the past and today’s GCSE looks more like the old AS.

I do some MFL tutoring but tbh there's not a massive call for it Op.

That suits me as I work full time (not in teaching but was a teacher until 2019) so one/two tutees at a time is plenty for me.

But there is a lot more interest in maths and English (fair enough obv).
