The school I work at has always used Read Write Ink and a little bit of Jolly Phonics but I find that the list of diagraphs and trigraphs are not exhaustive and I end up having to do patch up jobs at the last minute.
Do any of you use a very thorough scheme so that your children are really well prepared for the screening check when it comes?
Thank you Smile

Annoying as it is work wise. Letters and sounds is an exhaustive list of sounds. I made my own RWI style cards for the missing sounds and taught them using the RWI style lessons. I like the order of RWI sounds much more than letters and sounds.

Thank you so much, I’ll try doing that!

Yes we made our own extra RWI card but I believe they have them now and you can print them off too.
