So can anyone tell me in your school does a TA get paid per hour the same as a One to One ?

It depends on if the one to one needs special skills or does planning.

Why are you asking?

I'm a TA and if I became a child's one to one ( same school ) ...wondered if I'd be paid the same ..I'm happy to be ,I'm just interested !!
I do some planning now for the group work I do .

Ah! No, in my school (and back when I was a TA before I trained as a teacher) you were paid the same. It’s a sensible question to ask first though. FWIW all my experience as a TA was 1:1 or very small, consistent groups of children and I absolutely loved it.

In our school, NPTAs are on a higher hourly rate as class TAs. But their contracts are not permanent and hours often less.

About to go to interview for PGCE @PurpleDaisies and currently excited, nervous and terrified all at the same time!
