Really proud of myself, interviewed for a maternity leave in Year R and nailed it!
It's been a rough few years, hideous change of HT which left me with a breakdown and 6 months off. Resigned and been working in a tiny independent school (couldn't face mainstream) which is now in financial difficulty. So, bit the bullet, applied etc and did it. My first thought was "Fuck you!" to my previous, bullying HT. I can do this, I am a good teacher and he knew nothing!
So, anyone else who is in a horrible place, a change of scene might be the solution. I thought I was done with it all - feel OK about this - one year, maintain the good Ofsted EY judgement and if it all ends up being dire, it's not forever.

Well done 😁.

Maternity posts are great too as you know there is am end in sight if it's awful but they are long enough to put on your CV

I'm not a teacher, but saw your post in Active & thought I'd pop in to say well done & congratulations. Good teachers are worth their weight in gold & I hope you're very happy in your new school.
