Just seeking a bit of advice. I read with a few children. One girl struggles with a vast body of text but has amazing expression and I think she would really enjoy reading a play script with me. Do any of you know of any that would be appropriate/enjoyable for us to read together? Thanks so much.

There's biff and chip playscripts so you could read play scripts at her reading level.

Ah thank you. That’s really helpful. I’ll give those a shot.

Julia Donaldson wrote loads of plays for schools before becoming quite so prolific in picture books.

I’ve also seen play versions of lots of her famous stories, including the gruffalo I’m sure :)

Brilliant I’ll take a look. I think that she would love those.

You sound like a fantastic person going the extra mile to inspire your readers. Have you thought about poetry too? My kids saw Michael Rosen performing when they were about 5, 7 and 9 and loved it. He's written loads of books but he also recorded lots for uTube. Look at Chocolate Cake - a great read and lovely watch ( )
after...or the toothbrush one most library's and schools have some of his books too.
