SEN Science resources please

Hello all,
This year, I will be teaching one double lesson of post 16 SEN Science. There will be 12 students in the group with various moderate learning difficulties. For example, some students with Downs Syndrome.

I have a few ideas but wondered if any of you can point me in the direction of some good resources?

I have free rein to do what ever I like (how wonderful!) with no curriculum restraints so I’m after some really fun things to do.
Thanks.

You might want to connect with the Lightyear Foundation - their sensory science is too young for your group, but they are increasingly doing post 16 things.

Thanks Dibbler. I’ll take a look.

Whilst they are post 16, the ability is much, much lower so some of that might suit.

There's a chap on Tes who does some cracking stuff for Entry Level Certificate. I think his were the only ELC resources I found so should be easy to search!
I looked at a lot of home schooling forums for my ELC groups too; some good ideas for lots of practical which you can tailor up. I spent several lessons doing chromatography on all the sweets, pens, inks and other coloured stuff they could find- that type of thing. Also recreating experiments from operation ouch on cbbc (also for GCSE! )
