I'm about to start a SCITT in secondary English. Excited, nervous...
Anyone else in the same boat?!

Yes, I'm in placement from day 1 too and it definitely feels gradual to me.

I've been a cover supervisor for the past nine months maybe that's partly why?

I'm envious Tessiegirl - I'm feeling slightly thrown in the deep end at the moment!

Right. I'm off to an information open evening the week after next. Nothing wrong with getting some info, and at least I'll find out what experience I'll need to get.

I think being a cover supervisor will definitely help.

I’m really new to schools, so just learning all their systems for homework and house points is a bit daunting at the moment.

Namedchanged, I'm proud of you! It's a good place to start and the more you know, the more you'll be equipped to make the right decision.

Now I'm here, I know I've made the right choice.
Cover supervisor, TA, Midday Meals Supervisor, Volunteer - whatever job/experience you can get will be worth it. One thing leads to another.
