History teachers: BC/AD or BCE/CE in CofE Primary please?

I am starting a new job in a CofE primary. Am just putting together some timeline history resources and I'm not sure whether to use BC/AD or the newer BCE/CE - is there an official UK Education line on this? What do others do please?

I have both - some pre-prepared materials have BC / AD and IME tht is what the children come to me familiar with (upper KS2).

When I teach a timeline lesson - which i do early on in the first history-related unit - I use BCE / CE and we discuss why. Following that, I am not dogmatic - we tend to use them interchangeably fro western history, but I explicitly use BCE / CE when teaching non-European / non-Christian history and again explain why.

I’m was (left last year) an RE teacher who also taught some key stage 3 history. We used BCE/CE in RE but BC/AD in history.

The curriculum document uses BC & AD.
