Hi, I’m looking for advice regarding studying for my PGCE this year. I would love to hear from mums or dads that have studied for it whilst having kids. I am due to start in September but all I ever hear are horror stories about the training. I’m worried that the workload will be too much for me. I’d love to hear from others who have done it.

I really want to do mine. Currently working as a TA, have thought it through very thoroughly and I have two primary aged children, I'm not put off by the school based workload, or the assignments (could do those when mine are in bed) but by the costs and the time spent commuting commute to uni (nearest PGCE primary provider is around 2hrs from home). It's my plan to apply in the next 2-3 years if I am unable to get onto a school based teacher training course.
