Year R: End of year gift for teachers?

Hello,
DD will finish her year R soon and I am wondering if we need to give presents for her teachers? If yes, which kind of presents?

You absolutely do not need to.

I've always got something if my dd has wanted to get something for her teacher and/or TA (I am a teacher as well) but it would be something she would would want to choose. For me it was always about my child rather than the adult.

Teachers don't expect or want or need gifts.
