Anyone else had a bit of a pants day?

Visited a primary this morning where some of my (lovely) students are doing work experience. Class teacher so rude about our secondary “Oh, we don’t send our Year 6s to you, we recommend they apply to x school instead, ha ha.”
That just got to me all day. And she said it in front of the student.

Ouch, oneof.

Today I’m fairly sure I’ve put a target on my back. A stupid bloody conversation about jobs in which my HoD insulted me again led to some very honest feedback about the department from me. They did not take this well.
I sat and cried (twice) afterwards.

Ah, confrontation can be horrible. I’m not surprised you had a cry afterwards. Is your department a large one? Have you allies?
Cuppa now, or vino if you can. Feet up... tomorrow’s another day.

I do have allies and frankly it has prompted me to sort out an application for another job so not a bad thing really I suppose!
