Anyone else want a space just for venting?

My school is shite. We can't remove disruptive students and there's no sort of on call system so if a child tells you to fuck off or starts throwing books around the room or shouting abuse out of the window at other students you can't do anything about it.

We have to do all sorts of wanker things in the same of bonding.

Half SLT aren't teachers and yet do nothing.

Sob.

Resignation deadline coming up.

CraftyGin · 19/05/2019 17:15

Are you in a shortage subject?

If so, resigning without a job to go to might be an option.

teachingiswank · 19/05/2019 18:00

Problem is, I've verbally agreed to stay another year!

Has anything happened since you said you would stay on? Like SL T failure to support you after specific incidents? Because that would be justification for you deciding to leave.
There must have been a reason that you agreed to stay on, and a reason that you now don't want to.

Post in Employment issues asking if you can get out of it?

If it’s a verbal agreement only then leave.

noblegiraffe · 19/05/2019 18:21

If you had given a verbal agreement to accept a teaching job and went back on it, the advice would be not to, heads talk etc. Not sure about this.

What's your subject?
