What are your opinions on very small schools/class sizes to teach? I'm talking 7 children in one class of mixed years?

@Rosieposy4 no it's a private school. Nice in many ways but the teaching can be quite boring with tiny groups. Good for marking though

I work in SEMH SEN, classes of 6-8. Occasionally i’ll only have one or two if there are some absences. It’s blooming lovely!

I had a class of 4 and a class of 3 at A Level once (sane year group at a private school). They were too small, especially as the 3 didn't much like to talk! Marking was fab though.

There were 3 in my year when I did my year 6 SATS. God, I forgot how awful that was. Much better when I moved up to senior school and there 14 of us!

In one SEN school I had 6 in my class and for a variety of reasons I ended up with no children! Instead I had to teach 20 mainstream nursery children which was a bit of a shock!

I was the only pupil doing GCSE music. Now that was boring! It was my best subject-A grade expected, I got a D. The teaching was terrible.
