We were discussing this at work as a have been asked for our timetable preferences.

I like the two extremes as it were - love teaching Y7/8 and love teaching A-level. Although I obviously do my best for every class I teach, I definitely feel most at home at KS3/5!

What's your favourite at group?

I’ve just bid farewell to the loveliest year 13s ever. I like ks3 if I’ve had them in year 7 and trained them! KS4 really depends on ability; higher sets who have chosen triple science are awesome. Classes where a significant proportion are doing it under duress are awful!

Year 10.

My least favourite is year 7.

I love Y9. (Ducks...)

I know it's ridiculous but I teach History and I really like the curriculum for that year; plus I'm fond of the gobby sods. I LOVE how indignant a 14 year old can be when they find out 'what - women couldn't vote? That is mental!' or the empathy they can have when discussing the Holocaust.

Y10 annoy me - not settled down to GCSE properly, but I like 11s. And A levels.

Can't STAND Y7 - far too 'primary school babies' for my liking and Y8 are my worst. Immature, loud, timewasters.

(I don't teach KS3 anymore Grin)
