Present for Bed placement teacher

I've had a bed student for her final placement and in a couple of week she will be finished. I wanted to get her a nice 'good luck' present. When I completed my PGCE a few years ago my mentor got me a lovely survival kit which I really appreciated. I wanted to do something similar for my student. I currently have a note book that say 'make your mark' on the front and some pencils with similar motivational quotes.

What things can you not survive with out when teaching? Hopefully some ideas will inspire me.

TIA.

Pencils with her name on, good work stamps, and a nice bottle of wine!

A water bottle. Klean Canteen or Chilli maybe?

Post-it notes, personalised mug

Definitely personalised stationery! I had at various times a pack of post it notes saying Mrs Bring's To Do List, Mrs Bring stickers from Easy 2 Name, a noteblock saying A Note From Mrs Bring (particularly useful for notes to office & parents, and multiple sets of named pens & pencils.

Thank you all for your suggestions, they have been really helpful. I have ordered some personalised stickers, a Cath Kidston lanyard and some stamps. I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for a nice water bottle / flask too.

An you get her a secret snack box for her drawer?

Knittedfairies · 07/05/2019 17:13

Pleased to hear you're sorted, but I did wonder what a 'Bed placement teacher' might be...

Buster144 · 07/05/2019 17:44

Sorry, possibly bad english on my behalf Blush, I should have just put 'a present for a trainee teacher in my class'.

Nah, don't worry about it Buster. We called them BEds in my day, as in 'bee eds'. I thought being a bed placement teacher sounded a great career!

Glad I'm not the only one who came on to find out what a Bed Placement teacher is (and I have a B.Ed Grin). Very disappointing.
