0.4 monthly pay

After a few years on supply, I've seen a 0.4 job advertised. I'm UPS3. Would anyone mind sharing what their monthly pay is after tax and pensions so I can decide if we could afford for me to apply.
TIA

There is a pay calculator on TES

You do know, don't you, that your pay level isn't now portable? So you need to be prepared to ask to be paid at UPS3 at interview, and for the school to agree. We can't assume anymore unfortunately, unless, maybe, if you are a Secondary Maths or Physics teacher and then they may well pay your weight in gold :)

My school would be very unlikely to employ a 0.4 teacher on ups3 - I’m currently mps6 and it will be very difficult for me to cross the threshold while still part time. Even if you are a member of staff who works far more than your 0.4 a new school wouldn’t know that so couldn’t take the risk unless absolutely desperate. Unless you are applying to a school who use you as supply and are desperate to have you - then you are in a different position.

I've been employed as a UPS3 teacher on both 0.4 and 0.6 by two different schools. I didn't have to ask. Search 'tesfaq pay calculator'.

Take home pay is around 1000.

I agree with previous posters-things are very different financially now than even a couple of years ago. My friend had been ups3 for many years, left to do something slightly different (within education) for a couple of years, and when she rejoined teaching, they would only pay her on mps4! She wanted the hours that particular school was offering though so sucked it up. She isn’t there any more though.

I was looking to move schools to stay teaching 0.4 but can't find schools that advertise to pay upr3 - highest is m6. SadI've spoken to a few to query but their budgets just don't allow it.

It would be about £1000 on ups3. I think I was last on about £890 when on M6, though I’m not 100% and there have been increases to pension contributions since then.
