Hi all, I have an interview next week for an SEN teaching post week. The topic is ‘Mini-beasts and living things’ and the level of children is 8-20 months - just below the ELG. Various needs in the class. I have to do a 20 minute activity. I wanted to take in some mini beasts but not allowed! Any bright ideas? Thanks in advance

The hungry caterpillar story using sensory props? I'm not a teacher but work in a support role in SEN school. Or how about nursery rhyme/song with actions. We do a lot of musical activities!

Good luck!

What age are the pupils?

Thanks MrsGlow! I’ve got a loose plan and added in some nursery rhymes! Crocs- the children are grouped by ability rather than age but I’m guessing they are aged between 4 and 7? Academically from 8 - 20 months EYFS.

What about some sort of sorting activity of pictures - by colour, legs or no legs etc. Or making a home for them using wooden bricks etc.
