Reassure angry parents, mediate between stroppy teenagers, break up fights. Put teens who arrive at school in a emotional mess back together and get them back to class.

I am!

Main responsibilities are:
Attendance - daily monitoring, sending letters and meetings with parents. Writing legal paperwork (penalty notices and prosecutions)
Safeguarding/child protection - daily monitoring and leading anything involving a child in my year group, inc attending multi-agency meetings etc.
Behaviour - overseeing behaviour, identifying issues/concerns, meeting parents, excisions etc
Bullying/friendship issues
Anything medical
Pastoral input for assemblies - preventative work
Behaviour duty
Break/lunch duty every day

Dealing with literally every issue that is not curriculum/teaching related

@GreenEggsHamandChips - yes and that!

We've had periods where I've broken up a fight literally every day.

Searching for drugs and weapons also...

I love my job. It is stressful (often) - the most difficult bit is pressure due to lack of resources. But it is hugely rewarding and the kids are just bloody great.

I should have said i'm a parent.
