Year 2 sats

We have a family event that would mean my children would miss the last two days of school in May.

I know the school won’t authorise any time off for my year 2 child however how likely is it that they are going to do a paper on the Thursday or Friday before term breaks up?

Have any teachers actually know of sats being done this late? I really don’t want me or them to miss this event but also don’t want to cause problems at school.

They'll be finished in my son's school.

our school thought that year 2 SATS were an absolute waste of time so they probably wouldn't have cared.

There isn't a strict timetable, so as long as you let them know you'll be on holiday (they won't authorise it, but need to know you're going) then if they were doing anything they'll make sure your child is finished. Enjoy!

Y2 SATs have to be completed in May. Teachers wouldn't usually leave it until the very last minute because if a child was off they wouldn't be able to do them. I would let the school know though.
