Moving to a different school within the same MAT

Has anyone ever done it? If so, what would you say are the pros/cons you've experienced? I'm Primary, btw.

I've done this. It worked well for me, promotion, closer to home etc. No formal interview process, just a 'professional development meeting'. No change to length of service etc just a new contract stating normal place of work (&job title in my case).

It was described to me like moving departments in a big company, and feels a bit like that too. It's nice to not start completely new in a new school as lots of the systems are the same. I also get to keep in contact with my old colleagues as there are regular MAT meetings.
