I teach in a special unit and feel unsupported with children kicking (violent) and and not getting support from Head Teacher. I am looking elsewhere for work and experienced / using visuals etc. I and not one to cause a fuss on the staff but has anyone else advice on how to deal with this? Head Teacher very busy and other management team cintscfs are busy with other behaviours (more severe)

Are you and all your staff Team Teach (or other) trained?

Every child needs a rock solid individual behaviour plan and personal handling plan, including RPI as a last resort where necessary.

I was just going to say what Reefedsail said, so I second that.
Also, what is the ratio in your class of staff to child?

Chilledout11 · 03/03/2019 22:39

8 children to teacher and one TA for the class

Are you and the TAs team teach trained?

I was also going to ask are you Team Teach trained? If not, I'd suggest it as CPD!
