What exclusion data are schools required to provide when asked by a parent ?

They have to provide information held about your child. I work in this field (LA). pM me if you want to.

Thank you!
Any obligation to provide details of exclusions of Nt vs Sen children ?

No but it will come in under the new OFSTED framework which will look at exclusion rates for different groups of pupils.
Exclusion is also mentioned in the Sen code of Practice and Sen pupils are mentioned in exclusion guidance. Under the 202 Equality Act, schools have to demonstrate that they've made reasonable adjustment to policies to meet the needs of those pupils.

That’s interesting to know thanks !
The school has a policy to aim for a reduction of exclusions for Send ( and other groups) but when asked for the figures they are unwilling to provide

Could you do it as a freedom of information request?
I suspect they are over-represented, they certainly are in our school unfortunately.

Well I’ve submitted one. Head advised they can’t comply with the request.I’ve written and asked what exclusion of the foi she’s based that decision. She seems be keen to discuss in a meeting as repeatedly asked for my availability for a face to face meeting. I’ve said I want answers in writing. No reply from her !
